While this album might not be anything particularly mind-blowing, it's still a good example of how DSBM should be done. I have a soft spot for this album as its seductive gloominess helped me through a certain rough patch in my life, and I believe it to be somewhat of a hidden gem. Rest in peace, Reverend John Hex.

La vie n'a aucune substance et la production plus distante le confirme. Le DSBM s'empare de textures sonores blues, mettant en relief une dépression urbaine. Great album for sure. The vocals are really similar to Trha and if you listen and compare you'll notice that their riffs are also similar to Sargeist, but better at times. This album hits a sweet spot for me as I like my black metal raw and melodic. There are many albums in this style but this one is executed very well. Nice for blasting in the car 🎉
